The current Associazione Amici dell'Atelier in Novazzano’s exhibition season opens with a show of works by André Beuchat. Originally from Neuchâtel, the artist has been working for over thirty years in the field of engraving and art editions. His artistic production includes more than 800 engravings, mainly produced using the techniques of etching and drypoint. His works feature fantastic worlds, dreamlike architecture and enigmatic landscapes. In these visions, seemingly detached from the real world, references to the complexity, urgencies and anxieties of our contemporary world can be found. This representative selection of works as presented in the Lugano library includes the engravings "Tra due rive" (Between two shores), which gives the exhibition its title, and "Porta coeli", which has been printed especially for AAAC members.

In Toccalmatto, Emilia-Romagna, Beuchat created the Atelier Alma Charta, a space for artists, poets and intellectuals dedicated to printing. The atelier hosts courses, collections of art editions and publications by past and contemporary authors.
