David Weiss. The Dream of Casa Aprile. Carona 1968–1978

This exhibition pays tribute to the vibrant artistic and literary community that came into being in Carona, Ticino, Switzerland, in the ten year period from 1968 to 1978. It gravitated around Casa Aprile, owned by the Wenger family, which became a hub for cultural and creative interactions and contributed significantly to the art scene of that time. The exhibition explores the utopian dreams, spirit and intense artistic vitality of that period in the light of the work of David Weiss (1946-2012) and his circle of fellow artists and associates, who made Carona a centre of artistic exploration and innovation.
