The hardworking bees are fundamental actresses for the well-being of our planet and our ecosystem. As if that were not enough, they delight us with the sweet fruit of their hard work: honey. Oreste, an expert beekeeper, will accompany you to discover the fascinating and mysterious world of bees. July is the last month of the year in which honey is produced, do not miss the opportunity to admire closely the laborious and rewarding work of the bees!

Everything will take place in absolute safety with the appropriate protection to visit the apiary and the skill of your expert guide.

After the visit you can taste two types of honey produced in the apiary accompanied by local cheeses and other snacks.

The apiary is located in Comano near the Parco San Bernardo (via pasture Genovesi 16, 6949 Comano). Easily accessible also by car and bus, parking available.

The guide

Oreste will guide you to discover his greatest passion: the bees and their precious products. His eyes light up when he talks about his bees,  broadcasting to the visitors all the love for his craft.  The passionate beekeeper runs apiaries on a large part of the Ticino, from Mendrisio to the mountains of the Blenio valley.

Schools or summer courses for children and teenagers are welcome!

In this case it is possible to organize a dedicated date and there is a very reduced price. To bring children and young people closer to tradition and local production!
