Monte Tamaro

From Monte Tamaro through the forests of Monte Ceneri to the summit of Alpe Foppa.

From the Monte Tamaro starting station, you run in the direction of the Monte Ceneri pass, along a route where wooded areas alternate with areas with characteristic rustic houses surrounded by meadows. Halfway along the route, you arrive at Piano di Mora, the middle station of the Monte Tamaro cable car, where you can stop for a rest, before resuming your run over dirt and asphalt to reach Alpe Foppa a little further up. Here you can enjoy a variety of recreational opportunities, before taking the cable car back to Rivera. To round off the day, we recommend relaxing at Splash and Spa.

The Monte Tamaro cable car is closed due to replacement works from 2 September 2024 to the beginning of June 2025.
