Lugano Bike Nr. 66 – Stage 4 – Miglieglia – Ponte Tresa

A journey of discovery in lower Malcantone. On the M. Faeta and down towards Astano on a forest road. It's well worth taking a break in the picturesque village centre and at the lake of the same name. Sections along roads in varied landscape to P. Cremenage. After P. Tresa alongside the River Tresa.

Cycle through lower Malcantone, a zone of foothills and mountains, with dense wooded areas, historical hamlets, evidence of past activities and monuments of historical and artistic interest. From Miglieglia, via a dirt road through the woods, you reach the Monte Faeta pass, the picturesque village of Astano and the small lake of the same name. Continue towards the village of Sessa and Ponte Cremenaga, on the border with Italy, from where we return to Ponte Tresa alongside the river Tresa.
