The Arcadia Orchestra is proud to present the Spring 2024 Concert Season, a series of performances that celebrate symphonic music, promising to enchant audiences with a repertoire varied and fascinating. The season opens with Maurice Ravel's contemplative “Pavane pour une infante defunte,” followed from the dramatic “Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture” by Pyotr Il'i? Tchaikovsky, to then move on to the elegant “Concerto for Harp and Orchestra” by Nino Rota, with the soloist Elisa Netzer, and ends to the cheerful note of “Alborada del gracioso”, also by Ravel. Each concert is a promise of a journey through deep and different emotions. Concert Locations and Dates:

Soloist Elisa Netzer
Soloist Elisa Netzer, recognized for her refined artistic expression and impeccable technique, she will enrich the concert dedicated to Nino Rota's repertoire. With a career that spans performances solo performances and collaborations with prestigious international orchestras, brings a presence to the stage magnetic stage and intense musicality. She is the winner of numerous awards, including the prestigious 'Guy McGrath Harp Prize' in the UK, she embodies excellence in the harmonic field. Her album "Toccata", released by Naxos International, received widespread critical acclaim international.
Director Piotr Nikiforoff
Maestro Piotr Nikiforoff, born in Moscow in 1978, is a renowned conductor and violinist international, whose training took place between the Gnessyn Federal College in Moscow and the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. Winner of prestigious awards, he has a rich career as a soloist and concertmaster in various European orchestras. His experience as a director led him to work at important festivals and theaters, both in Russia and in Europe.
Arcadia Orchestra
Symphony orchestra of around 50 musicians (music teachers and students, good level amateurs). Active since 2001, it organizes two seasons (winter/spring) each year, each of three/four concerts in various locations in the Canton. The repertoire ranges from the classical period to that contemporary. He collaborates with established soloists and with cultural and solidarity events. THE musicians, young and old, are united by the passion and pleasure of making music together. Since 2023 under the direction of maestro Piotr Nikiforoff, the Arcadia Orchestra continues its mission to offer high-level musical experiences, exploring repertoires ranging from classical to contemporary, promoting emerging and established talents in the local music scene and international. Entrance to the concerts is free, underlining the Arcadia Orchestra's commitment to making music classic accessible to all.
