How would you imagine Hermann Hesse if he were your age today, and what does your interpretation of Hesse reveal about you?

These and other questions will be the focus of the Oct. 19 symposium. The meeting aims to bridge two generations of readers - the Baby Boomers, who contributed to Hesse's popularity, and Generation Z, who are rediscovering his work. The focus is on the contemporary relevance of Hesse's life and work, based on personal reading experiences. The day of lectures and speeches promotes intergenerational dialogue, highlighting the variety of interpretations and perspectives among readers today. Literature is not only an expression of its time, but also a mirror reflecting who we, contemporary readers, are.
