The culture, events, sports and tourism office of the Capriasca municipality has been offering cultural walks to discover Capriasca's places, history and traditions since 2023.
The first visit for the 2024 review, in collaboration with the Audiovisual Archive of Capriasca and Val Colla and Capriasca Ambiente, is scheduled for Saturday, 13 April from 8.30 to 11.30 a.m., with the nature history itinerary in the footsteps of Giovanni Nesa, gamekeeper of the federal banditry of Camoghè (1880 – 1886).
The walk aims to reveal a part of the history of our region, which from 1876 to 1886 was one of the first two federal hunting bandits in the canton. The inspiration for this hike comes from the publication edited by the ACVC 'Con il canochiale o veduto tre camozze... La bandita federale del Camoghè (1876 – 1886) attraverso le pagine del guardacacaccia Giovanni Nesa di Lugaggia", edited by the Audiovisual Archive of Capriasca and Val Colla. During the proposed tour, topics such as the birth of the Law on Hunting and the Protection of Birds and Federal Bandits, the composition of the fauna and flora of our region, the work of gamekeepers in the past and today will be discussed.
