The 2025 edition of Easter in the City kicks off on 18 April.

To animate the city centre, its streets and squares during the Easter period, a programme with entertainment and activities. An occasion to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring together.

Once again this year, Easter in the City will transform the centre of Lugano into a cheerful stage with its numerous stalls where you can buy traditional articles and products, while the pedestrian area will be enlivened by various street entertainments suitable for young and old.

Highlights

Easter market

• 18.04 – 21.04, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, City center

The traditional Easter market will be held once again through the streets of downtown. An opportunity to find and buy handicrafts, typical local products, tasty treats and gift ideas.

Easter treasure hunt

• 18.04 – 21.04, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Darsena Parco Ciani

A special Easter treasure hunt for children of all ages from Friday to Monday, starting at the Darsena of Parco Parco Ciani. The various stages along the route will offer yummy little surprises to those taking part. A chance to put yourself to the test.

Last departure at 16:30, cost CHF 2.- per child for the game kit (while kits last).

Duck Fishing

• 18.04 – 21.04, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Fountain Piazza Manzoni

Are you ready to fish for ducks and discover hidden treasures? The young participants, accompanied by their parents, will have the opportunity to catch the greatest number of ducks within a set time. Some of them may hide special prizes.

The cost per round is CHF 2.–.

The Labyrinth of discovery

• 18.04 - 21.04, All day long, Piazza Manzoni

Great new feature of Easter 2025. In collaboration with the USI, Università della Svizzera Italiana, it will be possible to immerse oneself in an enchanted labyrinth. Fun guaranteed! For treasure hunters, the labyrinth will be an integral part of this great adventure.

Amici Corno delle Alpi

• 18.04, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, Parco Ciani and City center

Entertainment with the magical sound of Alphorns in the picturesque setting of Parco Ciani and the city centre.

Filarmonica di Castagnola Concert

• 19.04, 5:00 pm, Town Hall Patio

"Auguri in musica". A programme bursting with musical surprises to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Folk Music

• 18.04 - 21.04, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, City center

Musical entertainment with Duo Nostranello, Duo Lorenza e Francesco and Tacalà.
