Overview of Courses
We offer nautical training, from sailing and motorboat license courses to introductory or advanced sailing courses.
Experience Courses
Our experience courses are available all year round and can be customized in terms of schedules and activities. These courses aim to combine learning to sail with the relaxation and enjoyment it offers. For example, we propose a sunset sail with a refreshing aperitif onboard. Max participants: 5 people (Children under 12 years are counted with the rule that 3 children = 2 adults)
Wednesday Races
From June to September, every Wednesday evening, the Lugano Sailing Club organizes "social" races. Our boat and skipper are at your disposal to participate to the race, whether you're an experienced sailor or a beginner.
Full Immersion Course
A 10-day course including a laser boat session, sailing introduction and advanced adjustment courses on a cabin cruiser, basic spinnaker skills, knots, some theory, and an afternoon of port maneuvers by sail and motor.
Theory Courses for the Nautical License
We offer theory courses to help you pass the nautical license exam. The theory exam is the same for the sailing license (D) and motorboat license (A).
Practical Courses for Nautical License Cat. A and Cat. D
Onboard our boats, you can best prepare for the practical exam for both sailing and motorboat licenses.
Knots Course
How important are knots? In this course, we will learn the most frequently used knots on board.
Basic Mooring Course
Mooring is our business card as sailors. This one-day course includes practical port maneuvering in the morning, and in the afternoon, we’ll cover how to create a safe mooring for the boat, what knots to tie, which lines to use, and how to make a splice.
